We were given the privilege to interview Dr. Vijaykumar Singh, Acute care physician with a special interest in Stroke and Gastroscopy.
Dr. Singh recounts his experience of coming from Mumbai soon after completing his internship and the process by which he began working in the UK, ultimately entering training and becoming a consultant. He compares the lifestyle of doctors back home to that of the UK and the many amenities and experiences one could have working in the NHS. He also mentions how to plan on a training post. With it, he comments on how one can take advantage of this prime opportunity to get a job and start working in the NHS, and how best to approach MRCP and getting your competencies signed off.
