First of all, who can be considered a dependent?
Who are the dependents?
A ‘dependant’ is any of the following:
- your husband, wife, or partner
- your child under 18
- your child over 18 if they’re currently in the UK as a dependant
Unfortunately, your parents do not qualify as dependants, so you cannot apply for TIER 2 dependants visas for them. You can, however, apply for their visit visas, but that is for another post to discuss.
